How does our environment affect our lives?

Over 7,000 teenagers in North Carolina participated in the “Understanding Adolescent Health Risk Behaviors” project! With the information gathered in this project, researchers have been able to better understand the school engagement, friendships, mental health, tobacco and alcohol use, and home lives of young people.

This new study seeks to connect experiences that people had as teenagers with the experiences they are having now as adults: the NC Life Study. This project will only involve filling out a survey, with the potential to participate in other optional research activities, such as interviews. Participants who complete the survey are eligible to receive a $50 gift card for their time.
